Exciting Updates for DevLearn 2016
The eLearning Guild’s DevLearn 2016 Conference & Expo is just a short time away! Our team is greatly looking forward to returning as an exhibitor. We always enjoy exhibiting at a Guild show, because the attendees and fellow exhibitors are our “tribe.” This year, we have even more reason for excitement about being at DevLearn!
We have a new product, Learn4ia, in the works and will demo it at DevLearn. What is Learn4ia, you ask? It’s the perfect marriage of learning management software with eCommerce. Do you sell online courses or learning content? Then you’ll want to chat with our team about Learn4ia!
We have a major update to our LMS, the Virtual Training Assistant (VTA) with the rollout of v8.0. In response to an independent study of our users by MakingBetter, we overhauled the Learner UI to make it…in a word, better! We didn’t forget the system administrators. We have made improvements to the Backoffice UI as well.
Furthermore, we’ve launched our VTA Supervisor mobile app to complement the Student and Instructor apps released earlier this year. Our team was thrilled to win ‘Best Business Process Solutions’ for the Student and Instructor mobile applications at FocusOn Learning 2016 DemoFest this past June! In keeping with our history of being early adopters of new specs to improve features, we’re the first cmi5-compliant learning management system.
RISC’s Art Werkenthin and Duncan Welder are xAPI thought leaders and RISC is an early adopter of the spec with our PDF Annotator. Because of this, we’re joining fellow xAPI advocates and exhibitors in a fun, interactive game that allows you to experience xAPI in action during DevLearn! Register for the game using your email address and complete an xAPI-enabled activity at each xAPIstop. The data will be gathered into Watershed’s LRS. Don’t forget to follow the game on Twitter using #xAPIgo!
25 Years in Business
Last, but definitely not least, we’re celebrating the start of our 25th year in business! We are honored to have served our clients’ learning management needs for a quarter of a century. We’ll have a caricature artist in our booth to draw your likeness as a commemorative of your time at DevLearn with the RISC team!
We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas November 16-17 at the MGM Grand! If you’d still like to be part of the conversation and are unable to attend the full conference, register for a free Expo+ Pass, which will give you the opportunity to visit the expo hall. Register today for DevLearn and visit us in Booth 545 to learn more!
